Mrs. Munk's Pointillism Project - Glogster

Pointillism is such an amazing technique...:

Go here to see Mrs. Munk's Pointillism Project!

Proposed Project Summary

My students will learn about the art technique of pointillism through viewing my glogster presentation. They will learn who created the technique, see examples of artwork, and view a video of how to create value using pointillism. After the presentation, they will choose a piece of work they would like to do using pointillism and work on creating it. Once finished,we will display their artwork in the school hallways for other students and parents to see.

What is the BIG idea I want my students to walk away with?

I want my students to understand what pointillism is and how to implement use it in their artwork. They will also see how to add value to their works and be able to create the picture they see in their minds.

Statement of Need (Why does this project need to be done)

This will help my students break down the artistic process by understanding color and value and how they work together. By letting them choose a project to do using pointillism, they will have a chance to tap into their creativity.
